Okay, I admit that I submitted this question to myself. It gives me a chance to brag about our fantastic team. Over the past few weeks the girls have improved their record to 6-1 with decisive victories over much larger schools. On Saturday the Vikings defeated Serra High, 25-17, 25-8, Orange Glen 27-25, 27-25 and El Camino, 25-21, 25-19. They then defeated Oceanside 25-12, 27-25 to win the Monte Vista tournament. Way to go Coach Cato and the Viking Girls! You are making us all proud on how you are committed to sportsmanship as well as academic and athletic excellence!
****UPDATE**** Team Captain Hannah Brady has been named the Imperial Valley Press Athlete of the Week. Way to go Hannah!
