The Victory Flag Flies High at HHS!

At our last football game, the City of Holtville presented to our School District a green Holtville Vikings Flag. We were also presented with a City of Holtville 100th year flag, celebrating the centennial of this incredible city.

I had the opportunity to attend the presentation along with three of our school board members, the mayor, the city manager and a representative of the City Council. It was a great event, symbolizing the unity and dedication both the District and City have in ensuring that our children are well educated and understand the meaning of civic responsibility.

After receiving the flags, the high school decided that the Viking Flag would now be referred to as the Victory Flag and will fly under the American Flag in front of the school the day after any our many athletic teams are victorious. What a wonderful tradition to begin! Our students are proud of their school and should be equally proud of our teams.

I heartily thank the City for their wonderful contribution to our high school!
