I hear there is a new School Board Member. Is that true?

Thanks for your question! Yes, at the August 21st meeting, the Board of Trustees appointed Rochelle Rolfe to the Board to replace a member who had resigned in June. Rochelle was one of four applicants for the position, two of whom were interviewed by the Board. Immediately upon being selected Rochelle was sworn in and became a voting member. She will serve until the next school board election is held, which will be in November, 2009. At that time she may decide to run in the election for a two year seat. I welcome Rochelle, who has been, and will continue to be, a big supporter of Holtville Schools.
